Make the most of those Fidget Spinners!

Use your fidget spinners to create games that motivate your child to practice their gross motor skills, regulate their sensory systems, or get through homework.

Here are some ideas:
1. This game will have your child doing fun yoga poses, providing them with fantastic sensory input to their movement and body positioning senses, facilitating postural control and regulation.

2. Download this workout chart to encourage your child to complete various gross motor exercises while the fidget spinner is still spinning.

3. Here are some more fun and beneficial uses for a fidget spinner from Frugal Fun for Boys:

- Spinner Doodles:
Simply stick a pen or marker (gel pens work great) through a hole in the spinner.  Hold it completely upright and use it to spin the spinner.  Then move the spinner, change colors, and go again!

- Use it as a Finger Board variation: Grab a cardboard box and some plastic lids and create this fun game!  Use a fidget spinner to knock the caps into the box.  You’ll be amazed at how much power the spinner can transfer to a lid – the lid will go flying.  It’s hard to know exactly what direction the lid will travel, which makes this silly and fun.

4. Or make your own Fidget Spinner board, writing a homework task or chore or fun activity in each segment.
