10 Days to Conquer Monkey Bars
We love these challenges from The Inspired Treehouse so here is another one! Monkey Bars can be seen as a childhood rite of passage of sorts and for kids with poor upper body strength, a real hurdle! It takes arm strength, hand strength, core strength, and coordination.
Practicing the exercises in this 10-Day challenge will also improve all these skills, having a spin-off for fine motor skills like writing and cutting. It also provides awesome amounts of proprioceptive input, so great for that calming effect of heavy muscle work in your child's daily sensory diet.
